Ministry Leaders

Greg Downes is the Director of Kingfisher Ministries, which employs him to equip the church in evangelism and train leaders in mission. Greg makes his home in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds, is married to Tamie and has two young daughters. He has been an ordained minister of the Church of England for 25 years and is a Benedictine Oblate of Quarr Abbey on the Isle of Wight. He has served as a school teacher, church leader, prison chaplain, university lecturer and college chaplain.

Members of Frinton Free Church, Ian has been an elder for 37 years. He has led the Youth Ministry leader for 12 years; house group coordinator/trainer for 5 years, and since the early 2000’s worship and worship band leader. Jan has led various ministries including mum’s and toddlers, youth house groups and is the pastoral care leaders for the ladies ministry in their church.

Born in Montego Bay, Jamaica Dalton came to England at 9 and became a Christian aged 16 at a Boys Brigade camp. He’s married to Sarah and they have three grown up children. He loves watching cricket, football, rugby and play table tennis. Sadly, he lost one of his brothers aged 21 in a tragic accident, since then he’s had a greater desire to speak to people about Jesus and the brevity of life.

Mark Simmons is involved in a local church and serves the North West Baptist Association through his work as a moderato. Mark loves sport, music, travel, and food and loves to incorporate all of these into his ministry.

Ruth has been a ministry leader with Richmond several times and enjoys getting to know all sorts of people. Based in Durham she is associate staff at King’s Church there but speaks widely nationally and internationally. She enjoys gardening, movies, travel and throwing epic dinner parties.

Steve & Katrina are senior pastors of Five Valleys Christian Fellowship in Stroud, Gloucestershire. Steve is an experienced youth worker and spends half of his working week in a local secondary school mentoring students. Katrina works as an early years practitioner, she loves helping and supporting families as they journey through life.

Michelle and Iain have been married for 30 years, have 5 children, and have recently become grandparents. Iain is a writer and part-time carer for their youngest daughter. Michelle is a self-employed doula and on the leadership team of a doula training company.

Adrian and Esther live in Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent where Adrian is the vicar of Trentham Parish Church. They are both involved in ministry, speaking and leading worship together in the UK and abroad.

Tom is married to Gin with two children Kitty and Jack. Tom did his theology training at Trinity College Bristol and is currently a Curate with responsibility for a small church plant. When not playing sport, Tom enjoys time with the family, good food, and riding his motorbike.

Peter is currently the Director of Mission for Guildford Diocese having been a vicar of a thriving town centre church in Woking for 17 years. Before that he used to be a doctor specialising in palliative/terminal care of people with AIDS in London.  He loves to see people equipped & released into serving God better wherever they are called.
