Do you have some sailing experience but would like to improve? Perhaps you wish to learn to sail better, faster or simply improve your confidence on the water? If so, come and sail with us on the beautiful Mykali Bay!
With a variety of workshops available included in the price, this is the perfect week for those who love to have fun on the water and experience new things on holiday.
A range of half-day workshops will run throughout the week and by pre-booking this programme, you can secure your space on five of those sessions accross the week. Examples of the workshops include:
- Sailing with spinnakers (introductory and more advanced)
- Boat handling skills (such as picking up a mooring)
- Trapezing (using our stable catamarans)
- Performance sailing (using sail and rig controls effectively; sailing faster)
- Introduction to racing
- Catamaran sailing (for the inexperienced as well as those with some multihull experience)
The teaching style will be relaxed – it is your holiday, after all! The coaching will be led by a highly experienced RYA Advanced Instructor: whether you are a relative novice or an improving club racer, there will be opportunities to challenge yourself and learn new skills.
All the usual activities Richmond operates remain available so you can pick and choose the session you are most interested in while not missing out of all that the holiday has to offer including times of ministry, local walks, trips to beautiful harbourside towns, bike adventures and more!
Sheridan has been involved with Richmond since 2015 and introduced our Ski technique and Learn to Ski programmes in the winter season. He is also a highly expereicned RYA Advanced Instructor and Powerboat Instructor and is delighted to welcome you to Samos for this superb week taking in a variety of sailing skills.
I really love sailing and being on the water. My hope is that I can teach and encourage others to get as much pleasure and sense of achievement as I do from harnessing the wind and tide to best effect. And what better place to learn and improve one’s sailing skills than the beautiful warm waters of the Aegean?
