GregDownes is the Director of Kingfisher Ministries, which employs him to equip the church in evangelism and train leaders in mission.

Greg makes his home in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds, is married to Tamie and has two young daughters. He has been an ordained minister of the Church of England for 25 years and is a Benedictine Oblate of Quarr Abbey on the Isle of Wight. He has served as a school teacher, church leader, prison chaplain, university lecturer and college chaplain. He was until recently the Director of Ministerial Training and Dean of the Wesley Centre at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford University. He is a member of the Archbishop’s College of Evangelists and speaks at missions, conferences and churches both in the UK and abroad.

The 3 most important things in his life are faith, family and friendship. His hobbies include walking, sailing, skiing, wild camping, watching the theatre, comedy and live music, especially jazz. He also likes to visit theme parks, art galleries, cathedrals, castles and stately homes – he is a life member of the National Trust and English Heritage!
