Richard served in seven frontline warships, finally as the Chief Engineer of HMS ARK ROYAL. Now he is living in Bath, working among Iraqi Christians sheltering from ISIS in Jordan, and enjoying all their children and 4 grandchildren. He loves skiing and sailing, he plays tennis and squash and enjoys playing the oboe, saxophone, and piano.

David Gordon-Watkins

David has enjoyed a long association with Richmond, being brought on board by Ben Turner, the previous MD. David explored a variety of employment opportunities before settling into a 25-year career as a Broker in the London money market. 
Different forms of sport have always topped David’s list of hobbies, although 5 years service with the Royal Naval Reserve and sea time in a Coastal minesweeper, were a welcome distraction. 
Coming to a living faith in God of the bible midway through his city career, David attended the Cornhill training course and Wycliffe Hall, Oxford before perusing an itinerant preaching ministry both at home and overseas.

Rob came to Christ at 17 after hearing the gospel from friends at college. Since then he has been involved in a number of different ministries, including 3 years as Richmond’s Head of Ministry. Over those years, it was Rob’s greatest joy to see God’s people draw near to him on holiday, finding rest, joy and inspiration.

James and Melanie have shared a life of faith for 40 years. They have been involved in St Mary’s Longfleet since 2004 which is large Anglican church in Poole. James is on the regular teaching team and they jointly lead a Life Group. They both enjoy studying the Bible and finding creative ways to communicate its message in a way that is relevant for 21st century living.

Matthew Dietz

Matthew is a Chaplain in the Army, currently serving as Padre with 1st Battalion Welsh Guards, based in Windsor.  He is married to Marion, and they have 4 children – Chloe (19), Gregory (17), Barnaby (15) and Timothy (10).  Together with Marley the dog, and Tiger & Thor the cats, their family home is in Taunton, Somerset where Matthew was a School Chaplain, before becoming a Padre. It was in the Army that Matthew developed a passion for skiing (both Alpine and Nordic) and he was Regimental Skiing Officer.
