Since 2013, Lorraine and Vern have been running the international charity Toilet Twinning – and both have travelled extensively to spend time with church partners in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Lorraine has stepped away from the day-to-day leadership of Toilet Twinning as she has just been ordained a deacon within the Church of England, and is now serving her curacy in Bournemouth. Vern continues to lead the Toilet Twinning team and is also a freelance graphic designer.

Lorraine has a Masters in theology and leadership and is passionate about all things related to pioneering, entrepreneurial leadership, and she has been a guest speaker and groups facilitator for the Global Leadership Summit in the UK.

Lorraine and Vern have three children, two cats and a dog. They love to go for long bike rides around the New Forest and Purbecks, and also like going out for curries.
