Lorraine runs the international charity Toilet Twinning – and over the past decade, she has had the immense privilege of seeing first-hand how God is at work in some of the poorest communities on the planet. She has just finished her training to become an ordained minister within the Church of England, which followed her Masters in Applied Theology at Moorlands College, Dorset. She is now taking a sabbatical before starting doctorate research into how the church can support families with autistic children.
Lorraine is passionate about all things related to pioneering, entrepreneurial leadership, and she has been a guest speaker and groups facilitator for the Global Leadership Summit in the UK.
She is married to Vern; they have three children, and a dog called Roobarb. Lorraine loves to spend time with people, read, ski, go to the gym, walk the dog along the beach and go out for curries!
For Samos 2022, Lorraine’s evening theme will be Meals With Jesus – where she will unpack Luke’s Gospel in order to explore Jesus’ radical interactions with his disciples, the Pharisees and people living on the margins of society. At God’s banqueting table, we are invited to feast on extraordinary grace, mercy, inclusion and community.
