Maria Fox serves as a senior leader in West Midlands Police [Detective Superintendent in the Force’s Criminal Investigation Department] and also within her Church family, Kingdom Advance Network, in Burton on Trent. She is passionate about both roles and is a gifted communicator and teacher. She joined Greater Manchester Police in 1994 after completing a Theology degree at the University of Manchester. Following her studies, she expected to embark on a journey of full time Christian ministry but the Lord had other vocational plans and on her second attempt to join the police service, she was successful. She has been a serving officer for over 23 years and enjoys the challenges of the various responsibilities that she undertakes. Within the Church context, Maria particularly supports the leadership team with strategic direction, preaching/teaching and understanding times and seasons. She is also a keen sportswoman, with skiing and cycling being two of her favourites. She is a qualified fitness instructor mainly teaching indoor cycle classes. Maria likes to seize the day and make every day count!
