Helen Morris is a lecturer in Applied Theology at Moorlands College and is the course leader for the College’s BA programmes. She has recently published a book based on her PhD research entitled Flexible Church: Being the Church in the Contemporary World. Alongside working at the College, Helen is involved in the worship band at her local church and preaches in both her own church and others in the area.
Before training in theology, Helen spent two years living in Thailand, teaching English to those affected by the 2004 Tsunami. This was a life-changing experience for her, instilling a love of travel and different cultures alongside a stark exposure to the difficulties people can face in their lives.
Helen is passionate about seeing people grow in their relationship with God and find freedom and transformation in Christ. She loves seeing and experiencing the Bible come alive in people’s hearts and minds as the Spirit breathes his life through it. She enjoys living near the sea, and makes the most of her proximity to the beach through paddle boarding, running, and swimming.
