HOLIDAY CONSULTANT

Hours:                 37.5 hours per week: 09:00-17:00, Monday to Friday (Part time may be considered, minimum 20 hours over 4 weekdays)

Job Summary

We are looking for a friendly Holiday Consultant to join our team, with additional responsibilities for the company website, marketing emails and Social Media accounts as required.

Your primary responsibility is to ensure new guests enquiries are dealt with efficiently, accurately and courteously. You will be on the front line to communicate with guests by email and over the phone taking bookings and answering guest queries. You will use your excellent grasp of the English language to communicate clearly and effectively, ensuring that guests are kept informed and up to date of holiday details including pre-departure and post-holiday follow up.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the website content is up to date, which may include page creation, online booking integration, forms and data capture, SEO, and analytics.

You will create engaging content to send to our email newsletter subscribers as required, as well as planning and executing effective social media campaigns to increase guest engagement, build relationships and promote sales.

While not a genuine occupational requirement for the applicant to be a practicing Christian, as a Christ-centred company with Biblical values at the core, we run daily prayer and weekly Bible studies as a team. It is expected that you join in with and contribute to this time.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Receive and respond to phone or email correspondence received by the company
  • Answer guest enquiries, take bookings, and advise guests with regards to holidays
  • Ensure systems and colleagues are kept up to date and maintain excellent communication with clients throughout the booking journey
  • Be active in generating new enquiries and following up leads
  • Regularly review and update website pages to ensure consistency, accuracy, readability and usefulness
  • Create email marketing campaigns, as required, to promote bookings and build community
  • Create content for social media posts on behalf of the company
  • Run reports, export and manipulate data in excel in order to communicate with suppliers, inform marketing efforts and update website databases.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Excellent time management and personal organisation skills with an ability to effectively prioritise tasks (Essential)
  • Strong communicator, calm demeanour, ability to work well under pressure (Essential)
  • Professional, able to follow procedures and represent the company well (Essential)
  • Hard worker, evidence of ‘above and beyond’ mentality, confident and determined (Essential)
  • Friendly with a desire to serve and help others (Essential)
  • Outstanding written communication skills (Essential)
  • GCSE Maths and English to a grade B/6 or higher (Essential)
  • 3 or more A-Levels or equivalent qualifications (Essential)
  • Strong understanding of email marketing, website design, data management, design, and social media (Essential)
  • Highly experienced with the following software: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook (Essential)
  • Experience with the following software: Active Campaign, WordPress, Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite, and social media management platforms (Desired)
  • Customer service experience including in and outbound phone calls (Desired)
Package
  • Salary of £23,000pa
