As a member of the Travel Trust Association, we operate a trust account model which means that your money is held in a separate bank account managed by third party trustees. These funds are guaranteed by the Travel Trust Association and are also insured as an extra layer of protection. Furthermore, in the unlikely event of Richmond becoming insolvent, the Travel Trust Association will liaise with our suppliers to ensure that your holiday can still go ahead unaffected or provide you with a full refund of all payments made.

FLIGHT CANCELLATION GUARANTEE (Summer 2021)

This summer, we are providing an extra level of protection to your accommodation reservation.

If your flight is cancelled by the airline, we will give you the option to defer your Richmond holiday for no admin fee, or cancel for a 100% refund.

This means that you can have complete financial confidence in the event that your flight is cancelled.

If you are contacted by your airline with news of cancellation in this 2021 season, please email us at [email protected] with proof of flight booking and cancellation.

ATOL (Air Travel Organiser’s License)

Richmond Holidays is an ATOL holder (ATOL Number T7533) and our package holidays (bookings containing both flights and accommodation) are fully ATOL protected.

ATOL is a protection scheme for air holidays and flights managed by the Civil Aviation Authority (“CAA”). All tour operators and travel firms selling air holiday packages and flights in the UK are required by law to hold an ATOL. If your Richmond holiday booking is a package, you will be issued with an ATOL certificate at the point of booking.

Do I need holiday insurance?

It is essential that you have suitable holiday insurance in place for any overseas travel reservation. There are a variety of insurance products available that cover you in the event you require medical attention overseas whether COVID-related or otherwise. In addition, you may wish to look for additional levels of cover in the event that you are unable to take you holiday for personal reasons. Please ensure you have suitable insurance cover in place before confirming your reservation with Richmond.
