Our Ministry

Quality Christian Holidays

We understand that holidays can often be used as a time to get away from the demands and stresses of everyday life, but we believe one thing that holidays should never be a break from is our Christian relationship with God.

In fact, we believe a time away of fun and relaxation is actually the perfect opportunity to grow deeper in our relationship with God. A holiday needn’t be an escape from your faith; instead, being away in beautiful locations can create space to reflect, rejoice and renew your relationship with God.

We believe guests can connect with God, be encouraged and restored in several different ways on our holidays, whether that’s participating in shared times of prayer and worship, taking time out of the busyness of life for personal reflection, or simply sharing the joy of a holiday with others. We’re grateful for the many stories guests have shared of feeling strengthened, encouraged, and refreshed in both body and spirit.

“I thought it was an incredible experience, with the option of doing as much or as little as you like. I loved meeting so many different people and building friendships that will last. The space created to help connect with God more was so precious and I left feeling refreshed and closer to Jesus.” – Alexandra, Samos, July 2025

“Richmond holidays are truly very special. The warm welcome, and care of the team are so much more than you get with any other company, this is where the Christian element really shows through. Yes, the chalet is in a fantastic location, the ski-in ski-out site makes the skiing so easy. But it is the people and the ministry that make it special. Thank you.” Alex, Chalet des Neiges, March 2025.

Ministry in our Resorts

Every aspect of our holiday programmes are optional, and that includes the ministry – you can join in with as much or as little as you like.

Each morning, we start the day with a short time of prayer and reflection, and in the evenings, there are informal meetings, which include times of sung worship, prayer, and more in-depth teaching from God’s Word. We may also hold Sunday communion services and worship evenings, depending on the resort.

In addition to running the structured ministry sessions, our dedicated Ministry Leaders are also available to chat and pray with you during your holiday. They’re there to support you within the context of the holiday community, which looks like times of short, informal chats, woven into the life of the holiday rather than ongoing pastoral care, for which we would lovingly encourage you to seek support from your local church family.

Our ministry is about encouragement, shared worship, and community prayer. Our prayer is that you will find these times uplifting and enriching, and that you will be blessed by the sense of fellowship that sets Richmond Holidays apart.

The Richmond Ministry Team are from a range of denominational backgrounds: to find out more about specific leaders for your holiday week, or to help decide when to come, you can read their profiles.
