Steve and Kathy met and got married whilst at Medical School and went on a skiing holiday as soon as they could afford one. Steve joined the RAF and they were posted in the UK and around the world as a family. Search and Rescue helicopters (and fast jets) were Steve’s workplace for 7 years. After the RAF, as qualified GPs, both Steve and Kathy volunteered with a mission organisation in Nepal (INF). After 3 years working in a Nepali government hospital and with patients with leprosy, they returned home for the children’s ongoing education. Steve and Kathy then worked together in a GP practice in Dorchester, Dorset, until their retirement 2.5 years ago.
Steve was born into a believing family of missionaries (Zaire and India), and Kathy came to faith as a teenager in Wantage, near Oxford. They’ve had the privilege of worshipping in many different streams of the Church but are currently settled in a New Frontiers church in Dorchester (DFC). They love skiing, and when they can’t ski they mountain bike.
One of their main focuses now is their 4 granddaughters, teaching them to love Jesus (and to ski!).
