Phil and Sharon live in Shanklin, a beautiful seaside town on the Isle of Wight.  Phil works as Chaplain for St Mary’s Hospital and Sharon is an experienced senior Social Worker and Team Lead for the Isle of Wight Council.  They are active participants at True Vine Church www.tvciw.org  and as a ministry couple they serve the church and are often invited to lead worship, teach and preach for like-minded churches both on the Island and Mainland.

Phil spent many years in senior management positions in the Middle East working in Dubai and Oman and it was in 2003 that he miraculously encountered Jesus, literally “in the desert”.  From that moment God turned what was a very nominal belief in God to a totally “all-in”,  passionate and genuine loving relationship with Jesus. “Life was never the same”.

Sharon’s journey to Christ is similar to Phil’s, in 2020, during the COVID crisis, she had a radical encounter with Jesus and committed her whole life to follow Him.  Both have inspirational testimonies to the amazing and undeserved transformational power of God. Phil gave up his career in the oil industry and returned to the UK following a calling to preaching, teaching and pastoral ministry.  He worked as a business consultant and taught GCSE and A Level Business Studies whilst being accepted for Ordained Ministry by the Methodist Church, following which he ministered in Christchurch and Bournemouth for 5 years.  Sharon is due to retire from her social work career in April 2025 and is looking forward to where God will lead her.

Phil and Sharon have an active and fulfilling ministry together and are looking forward to meeting and blessing those enjoying their Richmond holiday.  Between them they have 5 adult children and enjoy spending time together seeking God’s will.
