Are you holidaying with children? Richmond offers a range of services for children aged 4 to 12 to ensure you all get the most from your time away.

These services are available for weeks commencing 21 Dec, 28 Dec, 15 Feb, 04 Apr and 11 Apr

Child Supervision Service

£125 per child for five days including lunches

Available for children who are taking part in ESF morning ski lessons, our child supervision service is designed for parents who value the freedom to ski a little further afield and not be restricted by their children’s ski school timings.  still enjoy some great time with your children later in the day.

Our team will transport your child to their morning ski school lessons each day and then collect them at the end when they go to our Chalet des Neiges in Reberty Village and be served lunch. After lunch, we run a programme of activities and fun games in and around the chalet until 14:00 when they need to be collected.

Please note that this service must be pre-booked no later than three weeks before your holiday, due to capacity limits. Contact us now to book your space.

Children’s Tea

Included in the price of your holiday

Our child-friendly menu ensures the younger skiers have all the energy they need for a week in the mountains! Children’s tea is served at 17:30 and our staff team will supervise the children so that adults can continue to enjoy relaxing in the lounge before ministry. If your child has special dietary requirements, please advise your Holiday Consultant before your holiday; we would recommend speaking with your chalet team when you arrive so we can go over the menu for the week.

Parents are asked to be available during Children’s Tea if they are needed, however you do not need to sit with your child for the meal.

Children’s Ministry

Included in the price of your holiday

Children can enjoy their own time of ministry separate from the adults at 18:30 for five evenings where we aim to lovingly disciple them as they continue to learn about God and how they can apply the Bible to their everyday lives. This is a fantastic opportunity for your children to grow and build their confidence with Jesus, the Bible and each other, in a safe and friendly environment with Christian leaders.

Following this ministry session, during the main evening meal, our team will then supervise as the children watch a movie in a separate lounge area until dinner finishes at approximatley 20:45.

Non-Skier Activities

There are so many activities to enjoy during your Richmond holiday other than skiing and snowboarding!

In the chalets…

Each of our chalets has two saunas and two wonderful outside hot tubs, which look out onto the Alps and can be used throughout the day. Additionally, our comfortable lounges, where complimentary tea and coffee is available throughout the day, offer great spaces to relax, read a book, and enjoy the ambience of being in the mountains.

In the local area…

A number of the chairlifts can be used by everyone, whether skiing or not. These lifts take you further up the mountain, where you can enjoy stunning views over the valley. We arrange daily lunch-meets, which are in mountain eateries accessible to skiers and non-skiers alike! So, come along and take the opportunities over the week to meet up with the skiers of the group and enjoy a mountainside pizza, crepe or soup!

There are regular buses that can take you to the local towns of Les Menuires, Saint Martin de Belleville or Val Thorens. Here, you can browse local shops, enjoy a coffee and patisserie in one of the many cafés and take in the ambience of a bustling mountain village. If you are staying at Reberty, the frequent, free bus system is particularly easy to use as the bus stop is only a couple of minutes’ walk from the chalet. From our chalet in Le Bettaix, the bus stop is 15 minutes’ walk away at a gentle pace; enjoy the stroll through the village, following the snow-topped Doron river, before starting your day’s adventure.

In the nearby town of Les Menuires and village of Bruyères, there are sports centres each with a large pool, wellness centre and indoor sporting activities. Learn more on the Les Menuires website.

If you enjoy being in the outdoors, then you can make the most of the fantastic location of the chalets and enjoy a number of picturesque walks. In particular, there is a beautiful walk very easily accessed from Chalet Elise which takes you opposite Bettaix Village and along the burbling river to the nearby village of St Martin de Belleville.

If you fancy trying out a different alpine sport, then cross-country skiing or snowshoeing is available – please see the Les Menuires local walking map for an idea of some fantastic routes to try. Jean, one of our guests, enjoyed a cross-country ski holiday whilst staying at our Reberty chalet and wrote a blog about her holiday.
